Affixes/monsters avoidance is now handled by all scripts

Example: CustomScript now has AffixesAvoidance and Monsters avoidance options. Do not turn MonstersAvoidance to true if you're using a melee build... Once the options are activated, configure dangers detection distances in FileMenu > Avoidance Settings

Note: some script do not have this as an option. E.g. DemonHunter_Sentries script always tries to avoid monsters AND affixes, so that there is no option to configure avoidances to false. Base_Cusader has no configurable option to avoid monster (it's harcoded to false since it's melee) etc...

The way the avoidance works is:

  • classifies dangers (monsters and affixes). It checks if you're close to it (user-configurable)
  • updates a map of walkable cells according to classified dangers
  • tries getting a walkable cell within a dynamic radius circle (centered on you) that is not in a danger zone AND that is the farther to all classified dangers AND that allows to see monsters straight line

The algorithm is basic. It's a first release, it may be modified (including life threshold etc...)

How to configure it ?

Allow affixes/monsters avoidance in your script settings (if user-configurable)
Configure avoidance settings in File Menu > Avoidance Settings

It is tricky to set up at first glance. If your bot goes crazy, you're using it wrong (most probably your DistanceAttack is lower than you AvoidDistance setting)

I actually enabled the affix avoidance on a melee but set the values manually to small numbers. Now it avoids most affix like human would but I especially set it to avoid molten explosion after kill.

huslermaniac: Sounds more like characters pages are not working
Digital, you can have affixes avoidance with a melee build. Just don't try to avoid monsters with it :)

I had the avoid distance to 3yards which is like normal distance for a melee. The bot affix avoidance seem to be working good eeven for a melee.

my bad, i thought affix avoidance is good to go after setting the value in avoidance settings. works like a charm now after setting it on custom skills > configure > affix_avoidance > True

Not sure if this needs to be in a bug report or here.  Affix avoidance and fast bounties do not agree with each other.  Affix avoidance should not kick in until you reach the pont where you start having to kill mobs.  I have already tried turning monster detection distance 0 but that does not help.  If the mob is right on top of you < 1 yard you still try to run away.  I have seen several routes that the bot runs away from zone enterances because there are mobs there.  The ability to trun off Affix avoidance should ether be a gobal setting or on all prebuild builds.  Its not on the WD Firefrog build so I kinda have to use 37i because its not posible to turn off Affix avoidance on that build.  It would also be nice to just turn off part of affix avoidance instead of setting the distance to 0 for those items.
